Badger Childhood Cancer Network supports families of children with cancer and life-threatening blood disorders, focused on those who live and are treated in south-central Wisconsin. We serve kids and teens currently on treatment by providing informational materials and comfort items at diagnosis, hosting a monthly support group and family social events, offering transportation assistance and facilitating the popular American Family Children's Hospital Peds Heme-Onc Hero Bead program. We award limited emergency financial assistance (groceries, utilities, car repairs, rent) for families in need who have a child in acute treatment. We also advocate for and raise awareness of the needs of survivors of childhood cancer, who can face a lifetime of medical and educational challenges following aggressive treatment.
